About Library
The main objective of Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Maruthi College of Physical Education Library is to provide information services and in the form print and e-resources to support the scholarly and information needs of the faculty members, research scholars and students. The Library is computerized with modern facilities and resources in the form of Books, Periodicals, CD-ROMs, etc. Library adopts Open Access System to enhance the access facilities. The library has been automated by implementing RF Technology. Very few Physical Education college libraries in India have been automated by implementing of RF Technology.
Working Hours
  • Monday to Saturday :9.00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m.
Library Membership
  • Membership is open to all the staff (Teaching, Non-Teaching) and the students (BPES, BPEd / MPEd & Research Scholars) of SRMV MCPE.
Services

Fully computerized bar-coded circulation service (Issue, Return and Renewal of books)

Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) at the library for search of books and other academic materials of the library such as CDs etc.,

On-site use to Textbooks, Reference books Back volumes and Print / Online e-resources inside the library

Reference Service (Encyclopedia, Dictionary, Year-books, Exam guides and Previous year question papers)

Digital library with internet connected computers for access to e-resources.

User Orientation

Every year “User Orientation” has been given to the 1st year BPEd / MPEd students and Regular Research Scholars to know about the facilities and services of the library.

Books Section

This section has the collection of text and reference books prescribed in the syllabus and relevant text books in all the subjects of study. Staff and students can borrow these books for home reading.

Periodical Section

Library has been subscribing National Journals & International Journals in print form. Journal issues can be referred in the library only.

Reference Section

This section has Reference books, Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, Exam Guides, Proceedings, High priced books and collection of Previous Year question papers. These resources can be referred in-house reading purpose only.

New Arrivals Section

New additions of books, Periodical, News Letters, are to be displayed in the “New Arrivals Section” for a period of one month before the transfer to respective sections for use.

Circulation Section

Users can approach this section for Issue, Return and Renewal of books, membership, and for assistance to any library services.

Digital Library Section

Sufficient number of systems is available in the Digital Library section with Internet access facility to access the e-resources. Users can access this section for educational, research and development purpose.
