Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya is a major educational hub in Coimbatore, which was established in 1930, and is marching towards the centenary year with many achievements and accomplishments to its credit.
Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Maruthi College of Physical Education is a government aided institution, established in 1956. This institution celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in the year 2016 and has been imparting physical education programmes like B.P.E.S., B.P.Ed., M.P.Ed and Ph.D., with a well defined curriculum, The institution is having faculty members, are all with doctorates and enough teaching experience to mould the character of teacher trainees.
Swami Vivekananda says, “What is education? Is it book learning? No. Is it diverse knowledge? Not even that. The training by which the current and expression of will are brought under control and become fruitful is called education.” Also he says, “Real education is that, which enables one to stand on his own legs.”
Swami Vivekananda further said “You will be nearer to Heaven through football than through the study of the Gita. …You will understand the Gita better with your biceps, your muscles, a little stronger. …You will understand the Upanishads better and the glory of the Atman when your body stands firm upon your feet, and you feel yourselves as man.
In Vidyalaya, we strive to impart the education on the constructive principles and ideals, having laid by Sri Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda and Gandhiji, the Father of our Nation.
Students of Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Maruthi College of Physical Education are serving in the length and breadth of India and bringing glory to their Almomenter with their dedication, discipline and devotion and also inspiring the future generations of India.
