Maruthi Inter-Primary School Children Sports Meet – 2023 was organized by Milkha Singh house on 14.10.2023. Swami Virahananda, Secretary, Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Maruthi College of Physical Education, Coimbatore presided the function. Mrs.R.Indra, Principal, GKD Matric Higher Secondary School, Periyanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore, inaugurated the sports meet and unfurled the national flag. In the valedictory function, Er. R.Vasanthkumar, Gowtham Constructions, Coimbatore was the chief guest and honored the winning young athletes with medals and certificates. 650 children from 7 schools (Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Swami Shivananda Nursery and Primary School, Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya TAT Kalanilayam Middle School, GKD Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Thambu Nursery and Primary School School, Vivekam Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Pioneer Mills Nursery and Primary School and Swathanthra Nursery and Primary school participated in the sports meet. GKD Matriculation Higher Secondary School secured overall championship.
